“To Fear or Not to Fear” exhibit is bringing together artists from Iraq, Iran, Israel, Northern Ireland, Russia, Bosnia and the USA, the places that are inflicted with violence and crisis. It explores deeper humanity that hopes to dispel notions of clashing civilizations with common ground.
“To Fear or Not to Fear” is a traveling exhibit examining the ways in which the global media perpetuates a feeling of fear that permeates all cultures. Through their artistic processes, the artists also reflect on political and social change vis-à-vis personal history. The artists discard simplistic, media driven cultural notions of good and evil, euphemized as “centuries’ old hatred” or “clash of civilizations”. Instead the artists from eight different countries present different viewpoints on current affairs at home and abroad.
